All commissions are negotiable. Historically sellers pay 2% to 3% to the buyer agent but this is not required. Some sellers pay above 3% and offer an incentive/bonus to buyer agents to help sell their property. Some sellers choose to pay less than 3%. It is your choice what you pay to a buyer agent. You can also pay a flat dollar amount rather than a percentage. The important thing to remember is that buyer agent fees are negotiable.
